Job on forged certificate; former IAS officer gets bail
New Delhi, November 4: A Delhi court granted bail to a retired Rajasthan cadre IAS officer accused of issuing fake SC/ST certificate to a Delhi-based woman who went on to become the principal of a school.
Additional Sessions Judge O P Saini granted bail to Om Prakash Godara who was SDM of Jhunjhunu in Rajashtan, on furnishing of personal and surety bond of Rs 50,000 each.
Godara and two others have been charged by CBI under various provisions of the IPC and the Prevention of Corruption Act dealing with of cheating, forgery, criminal conspiracy and abusing official position.
The court has fixed December 4 for further hearing on the matter.
Earlier, the court had allowed the bail plea of Mithilesh Verma, principal of Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in east Delhi, and her husband Tarsem Lal Verma in the case.
