Nine medical students expelled from hostel
Varanasi, November 7: Nine medical students have been expelled from the medical hostel by BHU authorities on charges of violence.
MBBS students of seventh and fifth semester and a few students of Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) had an altercation last night at the Ruiya medical hostel, an university spokesman said.
Two students were seriously injured in the incident and are now admitted at the SSL hospital here, he said.
A committee has been formed to investigate the case and the guilty will be punished as varsity rules, he added.
