One in 20 Brit kids believe Hitler was Germany’s football coach!
London, November 6: Adolf Hitler was Germany’s football coach. Don’t get shocked, for that’s what one in 20 schoolchildren seems to believe, according to a new UK survey.
War veterans’ charity Erskin questioned 2,000 children aged nine to 15 to reach the conclusion that kids have a poor knowledge of the two world wars in human history.
The misinformation continues with one in six thinking Auschwitz is a Second World War theme park, while one in 20 believing the Holocaust meant celebration at the end of the war.
Also one in 10 thought the SS was Enid Blyton’s Secret Seven and one in 12 insisted the Blitz was a huge clean-up operation in Europe post Second World War.
A quarter of the surveyed kids believed nuclear bomb was dropped on Pearl Harbor, reports the 'Daily Express'.
