Ranji team refuses to play in J-K, Farooq Abdullah says, to hell with you
In a huge embarrassment for the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, the Services Ranji team has refused to play in the state citing security reasons.
J-K Cricket Association president, National Conference (NC) patriarch and Union Cabinet minister Farooq Abdullah reacted strongly to the Services Ranji team’s refusal to play in the state.
Threatening to take the issue of ‘no-show’ to PM Manmohan Singh, Farooq Abdullah said, "How can they do something like this. Everybody is here and at the last moment they are doing this. If they don’t want to come, to hell with them".
"Everybody said that the situation has changed. The PM, media and civil society groups all are fine with the situation in J-K," he said.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also faced Farooq Abdullah’s ire.
"I won’t take it lying down.
Farrok Abdullah is quite right. They should have played the Ranji Match. Certainly it is embarrassment to J & K govenment. This services Ranji team is to be barred from playing cricket any where in India.
To hell with you, Omar and Farookh ABdulla and all you Muslim fanatics. You savages drove the cultured Hindu Pandits out and Sonia, the CAtholic and Manmohan, the idiot don't give a damn. God willing, may you die soon and I'll open a bottle of champagne.
