Sri Lankan refugee commits suicide at Anaicut camp
Vellore, November 6: Upset over his deteriorating health after suffering a poisonous insect bite, a 68-year old Sri Lankan Tamil refugee, residing at the Anaicut camp in the district, ended his life by drinking some pesticide today.
Police said Appu had developed health problems after he was bitten by a poisonous insect a recently while he was working in a nearby farm.
His health condition deterorirated in the last few days and upset over this he consumed some pesticide and fell unconscious. He was admitted to the government hospital in Wallajapet, but died this morning, they said.
